A few short weeks ago, Charm City Concierge hosted our annual awards dinner with an elegant and spirited reception to celebrate and recognize our employees’ accomplishments and successes in 2016! It’s a much-anticipated annual tradition that brings our staff together to praise each other’s tireless dedication and phenomenal progress. Our awards dinner highlights the core values that make Charm City Concierge a Best Place to Work.
We started the evening off right with a cocktail hour in the atrium of one of our world-class properties, where we were served delicious passed and plated hors d’oeuvres. The stationary appetizers included a voluminous cheese and cracker platter, fresh fruit, and buffalo chicken cheese dip. The passed hors d’oeuvres showcased the talents of RSVP Catering, one of our concierge favorites. There was a wide range of treats including mini donuts with pulled pork, watermelon bruschetta, and mini macaroni and cheese waffles. Ashley B., one of our DC concierges, eagerly identified the watermelon bruschetta as her favorite from the Awards Dinner! “It was sweet and savory, and the goat cheese on top of the watermelon made for a tangy treat!”
As we prepared for dinner, we were met with a wall of string with colorful paper and markers intended for us to post a positive tidbit from our day. The power of positivity is an idea that supports so much of what our company stands for; once we set the tone for the evening by identifying our best accomplishments and recent happy moments, we were seated at the beautifully decorated tables. In the center of each table were stunning bouquets arranged by Conklyn’s Florist, and party favors included antique white picture frames with the inspirational quote, “Make Every Day Count!”
Next came the family-style dinner, also provided by RSVP Catering. As a premier partner, RSVP always rises to the occasion and provides a phenomenal spread. The meal included new signature items from RSVP’s Spring Summer Menu: we enjoyed their moist cliff spa chicken and flavorful lemon agave salmon, accompanied by fresh tomato arugula herb salad, and an artisan bread basket. And, because dessert is our favorite, we indulged in cherry blossom s’mores, cookie dough bites, and flourless chocolate lava cupcakes. Yum!
Each year we extend the opportunity to tenants, property managers, and the community to let their voices be heard—without all of you, we’d have nothing to celebrate! We recognized our efforts by watching a testimonial reel from kind words from our fans. Recapping 2016, we focused on all of the amenity spaces we support throughout our properties, and highlighted new programming and events that bring these spaces to life.
Our 2016 Concierge of the Year is Brenda B. at Reston Town Center! Brenda is “always willing to go above and beyond whether it’s helping out a fellow colleague, management, or her clients– showing how trustworthy she is. She’s very professional and receives high accolades from tenants, vendors, her peers, the community, and her property management team. Brenda not only works with her tenants, but also with the community and the retailers at her property. She consistently brings new and innovative ideas to create an experience.” Congratulations, Brenda!
We had a lovely evening coming together as whole company, which is a treat especially seeing as though our staff is far-flung, from suburban Maryland to downtown Baltimore to Northern Virginia to the heart of DC. We took so many photos, capturing the spirit of many properties, one company – thank you for giving us a reason to celebrate our year!
